Position Overview
This senior-level role is an exciting opportunity to help lead, manage and grow one of the most dynamic theater and creative production companies in Minnesota. The Production Manager will be the point person overseeing Danger Boat's performances, workshops, cast and crew, and client operations.
The successful candidate will have proficiencies:
– Managing and motivating a diverse team of artists, facilitators, and creatives
– Working closely with clients to take events from concept to reality
– Leading production internally including coordinating casting and technical oversight
– Proactively building systems and solving organizational bottlenecks

Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Oversee day-to-day production requirements in support of multiple projects across Danger Boat.
Collaborate with leadership and clients to identify performer and crew requirements for events.
Develop and manage systems to align show needs with casting, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Provide clear communication to all team members ensuring:
Role responsibilities, schedules, travel arrangements, and other production details
Rehearsal and performance attendance expectations
Changes to event logistics or show details
Ensure that the resources and support available to the projects are sufficient to achieve the artistic vision and excellence of the organization.
2. Logistical Management
Plan and coordinate logistics for remote performances and workshops, including travel, lodging, and meals for cast and crew.
Serve as a liaison with clients to coordinate venue technical and logistical capacity with show requirements.
Ensure proper record keeping, note taking, and documentation both internally and externally.
3. Client Relationship Management
Track and manage client engagements in CRM systems (Pipedrive).
Support leadership in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Understand client requirements, preferences, and objectives to tailor event solutions that exceed expectations.
Collaborate with the team to develop compelling event proposals and presentations
Create proposals from templates based on client information.
4. Business Development & Reporting
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to expand the company’s client base and market presence.
Participate in sales forecasts and provide insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to motivate and diplomatically hold others accountable
Strong systems-thinking ability, with experience in developing efficient organizational processes
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Experience coordinating schedules, bookings, or similar logistical arrangements.
Background in managing event logistics
Ability and willingness to exercise professional courtesy and discretion at all times and maintain confidentiality as required
Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours/days reflective of the dynamic schedule of a theater and events company which might include occasional evenings or weekends
Preferred:
Experience working with artists, actors, or creative professionals
Background in theater, theater education, improv, or applied improvisation
Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, etc.), CRM, Canva, or other systems
Knowledge of long-term logistical planning and scheduling tools
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Sales/invoicing experience
Proven track record in client relationship management and business development
