Yes, and…: The Art of Collaboration, Creativity & Leadership

Yes, the art of improv is fun. And it can help business & organizational leaders hone invaluable skills. Improv trains us to be deep listeners, to collaborate in real time, to think on our feet, and to trust our gut.

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to announce a unique & powerful workshop: Yes, and…: The Art of Collaboration, Creativity & Leadership.  The workshop will be hosted August 20 in-person (TBD in the Twin Cities) and will be facilitated by Tane Danger of Danger Boat Productions, closing keynote of igniteEX 2024.

In this unique half-day workshop, attendees will explore improv as a framework to discover new ways to lead more effectively, work in a team, and present with confidence.  In a safe and supportive space, participants will try actual improv exercises together that train our listening and connection muscles (don’t worry: it’s safe & fun!).

Key skills learned in this workshop include:

* Listening and processing information in real time

* Working in a team and with different ideas

* Unlocking our own creativity and the creativity of our teams

* Speaking and presenting in front of an audience, with and without a script

Led by Tane Danger and members of the Danger Boat team, the workshop is designed to both be fun and send everyone home with practical tools for working in a group and leading.  It will be supportive and safe. Building a space where everyone feels supported to try new things and be creative will be one of our key outcomes and takeaways. By the end of the session, participants will know their own strengths better, and be ready to tackle anything that comes their way.

The session will be hosted in the Twin Cities (location TBD) from 8:30-12:00; light breakfast and materials included.

Investment is $200 for members ($400 for non-members).  Discounts available for teams of 3-4 from the same organization registering at the same time ($175) as well as teams of 5+ ($150).

“Our improv workshop with Tane was unbelievable. Our hope was to encourage our team of “creative professionals” to think more openly and to find new meaning in the process of collaboration. We got that and so much more! Our team learned about the importance of trust, the value of risk, and the creative opportunities that arise when you support the team around you. Not to mention how much fun you can have when you work together. Thank you Tane!”
